Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 November 2026

This policy explains what information Stackdle (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, and how it is used. Stackdle has no accounts or sign-ups, and we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details to play.

Information stored on your device

Stackdle saves a few things in your browser's local storage so the game works the way you left it:

This information stays on your device. It is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website.

Daily puzzle results

When you finish the daily puzzle, Stackdle sends an anonymous result to our server so everyone can see how today's puzzle went. It contains the puzzle date, whether you solved it or gave up, how many attempts you took, and the random ID mentioned above, so the same browser is only counted once a day. It does not include your name, email address or IP address, and we can't link it to you. Practice runs are not sent. The results are stored with Cloudflare, which runs the server.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and how well the site performs. It records anonymous information such as the pages viewed, the country a visit comes from, the referring website, the type of device and browser, and page loading speed. It does not use cookies, does not use local storage and does not track individual visitors. You can read more in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

Stackdle does not currently show ads. If we add advertising in future, we will update this policy before any ads appear.

Donations

If you choose to support Stackdle, the donation happens on Ko-fi, which takes the payment through Stripe or PayPal. Ko-fi and the payment provider collect the details needed to process it, such as your name, email address and payment details. We receive a record of the donation (amount, date, the name and any message you leave, and your email address) but never see or store your card details. See Ko-fi's privacy policy.

Children

Stackdle is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the site has no accounts, we do not hold personal information for any visitor.

Links to other websites

Stackdle links to other websites, such as Ko-fi. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Stackdle handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
